The Eyes
   and
     The Heart

Everytime I see people that She cares for go away
Whenever I notice that She's not being appreciated
When people treat Her like she shouldn't exist
Tell me, how do you feel?

     Ah, I see.
You'd feel really sad, won't you?
You'll ache all over as if you were about to explode
     And then you'd begin to resent your purpose

Being rejected, being invisible, being abandoned
Could only bring lonely and cold feelings after all
And for someone who's bound to feel all these things
Life must be a really painful existence

     Ah, I see.
     I must be the one to blame then
     Because of what I observe, you'd in turn feel miserable
     I could only see everything, but the one who suffers is you

If only I could shut my self and be blind
Just so I won't have to witness these things,
Then you won't feel so sad and lonesome anymore
Oh, how I wish there was something I could do

     Ah, I see.
     Now I know how to ease your agony
     You won't have to carry this burden on your own any longer
     Because my tears will be shed to wash away your pain

Yes, this will be my purpose from now on
I'll be the one to comfort you, I who brought you despair
Though you may think that no one else seems to understand
I'll be here to wash away the pain that binds you

I drew this after I came up with this poem...

I don't know why... I don't usually make poems but I just suddenly had the urge to make one... and I was thinking about loneliness as a topic... and then I just did the first line and then somehow, somewhere in the middle, I just decided that the "narrator" of the poem would be the "Eyes" and he's supposed to be talking to the "Heart", sympathizing with her because he feels guilty for bringing her pain... And then later I thought what if the Heart falls in love with the Eyes because of that? But what if he just feels pity for her? He's the eyes, after all. He doesn't have to feel emotions... And then I decided to make another poem where it's in the Heart's point of view... but I haven't even started that yet... And then I drew this... And then I thought how weird it is for my organs to be falling in love with each other! lol! (I wonder... Is this too much information?)

And all this is happened right after I finished rereading the entire Fruits Basket Manga! lol!

My point is... please excuse my poem... really, I didn't know what I was doing because... yeah well I explained it already... But I decided to post it here anyway because it's the first time I did a poem just on a whim... Usually I do it if its a requirement for school...

But anyway... I guess you already get my point...
